American Robotics Academy aims to excite, inspire and motivate students about the importance of robotics technology. Our hands-on classes offer an introduction to the fundamentals of engineering design, helping children understand "how things work". Support state and national STEM curriculum standards. Boost students' imagination, creativity and confidence through activity-based challenges. Strengthen students' teamwork, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. At Freshman Robotics (FR) class, you can collaborate with your teammates to prepare an infrared wireless robot for a variety of activity-based challenges. Students will explore the use of motors, gears, pulleys and IR technology while building Lego Robot inventions. Each build will be followed by a thrilling challenge that illustrates the need for "simplicity" and pitfalls of "complexity".
